Practice Administrator – Primary Care

Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced Practice Administrator to manage daily operations at a primary care facility in New Jersey. This role requires a strong background in healthcare management, specifically in primary care, urgent care, or wound care settings. The ideal candidate is a strategic leader with expertise in healthcare operations, regulatory compliance, and financial oversight.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Leadership
- Oversee daily clinical and administrative functions to ensure efficiency and high-quality patient care.
- Supervise physicians, clinical staff, and administrative teams to maintain a well-organized practice.
- Implement workflow enhancements to improve patient experience and operational processes.
Financial & Revenue Cycle Management
- Manage practice finances, budgeting, and billing operations.
- Oversee insurance reimbursements, revenue cycle optimization, and expense management.
- Ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with industry regulations.
Regulatory Compliance & Healthcare Administration
- Ensure adherence to state and federal healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and best practices.
- Develop and enforce policies and procedures aligned with compliance standards.
- Collaborate with physicians, legal teams, and external agencies to maintain regulatory compliance.
Staff Management & Development
- Lead recruitment, training, and performance management of clinical and administrative staff.
- Foster a collaborative work environment and ensure adherence to practice policies.
- Address employee concerns while promoting team morale and productivity.
Qualifications & Skills
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- 10 years of experience in practice administration, with expertise in primary care, urgent care, or wound care.
- Proven ability to manage practice operations and lead medical teams effectively.
Technical & Leadership Skills
- Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in healthcare management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work onsite daily and lead a high-performing practice.
