Civil Project Manager (Site Development)

Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Civil Project Manager to oversee the design, planning, and execution of site development projects. This role requires a skilled leader who can manage multidisciplinary teams, collaborate with clients and regulatory agencies, and drive projects from concept to completion. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in civil engineering, site development, permitting, and construction oversight.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage design teams through concept development, permitting, and construction documentation.
- Prepare detailed drawings, technical specifications, and engineering reports for DOT approvals, bidding, and construction.
- Collaborate with clients, engineers, architects, and planners to develop and execute site development projects.
- Serve as the client representative, coordinating meetings with governing agencies and key stakeholders.
- Oversee the project bid process, including bid tabulation and award recommendations.
- Provide construction administration services, including reviewing shop drawings, responding to RFIs, and monitoring construction progress.
- Support business development efforts within the Southeast region, fostering client relationships and identifying new opportunities.
- Develop project scopes, prepare fee proposals, negotiate contracts, and manage project budgets and schedules.
- Ensure clear and effective communication with team members, clients, and regulatory authorities throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Education & Licensing:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- Experience:
- 10 years of experience in site development and civil engineering.
- Proven ability to lead client and board meetings for mid-to-large-scale projects.
- Strong knowledge of land use planning, municipal approvals, and regulatory compliance.
- Hands-on experience in project submissions, documentation, and securing regulatory approvals
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience mentoring junior engineers.
- Excellent communication, organization, and technical writing skills.
- Proficiency in civil engineering design software and project management tools.
- Valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle for site visits and meetings.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $110,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
Compensation Package:
