Key Responsibilities
- Set up, program, and operate CNC milling machines to manufacture precision components.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and job travelers to determine machining processes.
- Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot CNC programs using Mastercam software.
- Conduct first-piece and in-process inspections, making necessary adjustments to ensure quality standards are met.
- Operate coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to perform quality assurance checks.
- Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Utilize precision measuring tools such as micrometers, bore gauges, and calipers to verify part dimensions.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve machining issues efficiently.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to enhance manufacturing efficiency and workflow.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including operator check sheets and inspection reports.
Qualifications & Skills
- Technical Expertise: Strong proficiency in CNC programming and machining processes.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in an operator/setup role with CNC Vertical 3-Axis milling centers.
- Software Proficiency: At least 3 years of experience with Mastercam programming.
- Blueprint Reading: Ability to interpret and work from technical drawings and schematics.
- Attention to Detail: High level of precision in machining and quality assurance.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.
- Teamwork & Communication: Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Independence & Initiative: Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision while knowing when to seek assistance.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.62 - $35.00 per hour
