Role: Financial Analyst/Cost Accountant II

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Collect and analyze data to calculate, plan, forecast, and assess business costs, including raw materials, labor, and overhead.
- Evaluate actual manufacturing costs and generate reports comparing budgeted and actual production expenses.
- Maintain cost records to support expenditure control and financial decision-making.
- Conduct cost audits and prepare detailed analytical reports.
- Assess cost impacts of product design modifications, material changes, manufacturing processes, and service updates.
- Estimate costs for new and proposed products.
- Prepare pricing quotations for large projects and conduct post-closeout cost analysis.
- Provide management with detailed reports comparing factors influencing product or service pricing and profitability.
- Manage and maintain cost accounting systems and databases.
- Assist with inventory valuation and reporting.
- Reconcile perpetual inventory records with general ledger balances.
- Evaluate work-in-progress (WIP) and finished goods inventory.
- Analyze and estimate excess and obsolete inventory.
- Support month-end close processes, focusing on inventory-related entries.
- Develop and maintain standardized cost reporting databases.
- Generate internal performance reports and maintain standardized performance metrics.
- Prepare internal monthly performance charts and compile external Monthly Performance Review (MPR) reports.
- Analyze project and product costs, identifying and explaining variances.
- Calculate, review, and maintain pricing for standard and non-standard product offerings.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to establish appropriate pricing for products and large projects.
- Periodically review pricing structures and advise management on necessary updates.
- Forecast future costs and recommend pricing adjustments to align with budget goals.
- Travel to manufacturing facilities as needed.

Education and Experience
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in cost accounting within a manufacturing environment (preferred).
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles.
- Experience with cost accounting systems (preferred).
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (including logical, lookup, reference, and mathematical functions), with working knowledge of Outlook and Word.
- Familiarity with Workwise ERP is a plus.
- Experience collaborating with engineering and manufacturing teams on cost standards and analysis.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
