Role: Electrical VDC Specialist
Location: Salt Lake City, UT/Onsite
Job Type: Full-time/Permanent
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed 3D Revit models of electrical systems, including wiring, lighting, power distribution, conduits, and cable trays.
- Drive clash detection and resolution in VDC coordination meetings using Navisworks.
- Collaborate with architectural, structural, and mechanical teams to integrate electrical designs and resolve conflicts proactively.
- Generate precise shop drawings and fabrication documents, maintaining organized project records.
- Conduct site visits to verify construction accuracy against design specifications.
- Contribute to the evolution of VDC standards and best practices across Revit, Navisworks, and other BIM platforms.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Technical Expertise: Proficient in Revit MEP, AutoCAD, Navisworks, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), and BIM 360. Experience with Revit content creation (LOD 100 & 200) and multi-disciplinary coordination. Strong ability to create and manage Revit families and utilize filters.
- Electrical Acumen: Solid understanding of electrical theory, NEC, and industry best practices. Experience with submittal reviews and drawing checklists. Familiarity with Fire Alarm, Security, Audio-Visual, and other low-voltage systems.
- General Competencies: Exceptional attention to detail, strong file management (including FTP), and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint) and Bluebeam. Familiarity with project management software (e.g., Masterworks) and email management tools (e.g., Mail Manager) is a plus. Comprehensive understanding of MEP systems, construction methods, industry terminology, and project workflows. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work flexibly, including overtime as needed.
- Education and Experience: Associate’s degree in drafting, design technology, or related field. 2-3 years of practical experience in electrical VDC modeling for power distribution and/or building infrastructure.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to sit for extended periods while using computer equipment.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
