Material Handler

Material Handler is responsible for loading out all final products produced and responsible for the logistics of corn being brought into the plant. Will receive all incoming supplies and responsible for the operation of the receiving building, elevator, wet pad area and distillers building. Material Handler will support all policies, goals and objectives of the company, and will represent the company in a knowledgeable and professional manner.

Summary of Essential Job Functions

• Responsible for loading of all final products. This includes loading ethanol and dry distillers grains. These products may be loaded by either truck or rail.
• Responsible for loading ethanol in manner to meet all federal, state and local hazardous material regulations.
• Coordinate the shipping of products with the railroad line and management.
• Operate the locomotive to move railcars within the plant site.
• Skillful use of end loader required for distillers grain loading.
• Ensure the quality of product being shipped is of excellent standard.
• Maintain consistent railcar inspections for each tank car and hopper bottom car before, during and after loading.
• Responsible for daily inspection and maintenance of stationary and rolling stock equipment.
• Responsible for housekeeping, equipment and operation of the corn receiving building, elevator, and distillers grain building.
• Assist with general cleaning of all plant areas as needed.
• Communicate with Commodities Manager and Maintenance Manager to report problems, for timely repairs, routine maintenance and to keep areas clean and safe.
• Support all company safety, health, environmental, and quality programs and policies and be directly responsible for managing safety and health performance.
• Complete any and all tasks assigned by supervisor.
• Other duties not listed herein, but which need to be accomplished to maintain safe and productive day-to-day operations within the plant.
• Maintain confidentiality of all records and company matters.
• Support and promote a positive and cooperative team environment which fosters creative problem solving and shared learning.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Department Manager.
• Promote E Energy Adams in the community.

Minimum Requirements

This position requires a High School diploma with experience in truck loading and unloading, railcar loading, front end loaders, skid loader, forklift and railcar mover is preferred. Experience with grain handling equipment is a plus. Attention to safety critical. Must be willing to work overtime.
