Summary
The Material Handler moves product safely in, out and around the facility as required by using carts, pallet jacks, forklifts, manlifts, and other material handling equipment. They will use company computer programs to record the transactions and are responsible for accurate and on-time task completion. The Material Handler assists with updating standard work and recorded procedures that have been developed in these areas while keeping up with warehouse, shipping, and receiving cleanliness. The material handler is a versatile role where the team member will be primarily focused on warehousing but will be expected to learn aspects of shipping, & receiving at KZValve, LLC.
Responsibilities :
Safely move product using manual and powered material handling methods.
Ability to work with all computer related programs, including but not limited to : Microsoft 365, Scanco, and Sage.
Warehouse : Accurate and on-time delivery of orders and floor stock to production. Maintain accurate inventory counts, notifying appropriate team members of inventory inaccuracies.
Shipping : Shipment of orders following all applicable company processes, logistics and compliance requirements.
Receiving : Ensure goods received are entered into the system by appropriate company deadlines (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly, etc.)
Collaborate and communicate with all departments at KZValve to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction.
Actively participate in company inventory auditing and reduction activities, serving as a key member of physical counts.
Use of hand tools.
Ability to lift 40lbs independently and up to 80lbs in a team lift situation.
Actively monitor inventory levels, sending out-of-stock messages as needed and communicating with the purchasing department on needs.
Daily inspection of powered industrial equipment, reporting all issues immediately to supervisor.
Minimum Requirements :
18 years of age.
High School Diploma / GED equivalent preferred.
Previous experience operating and maintaining industrial powered equipment preferred. Ex : Forklift, Scissor Lift, Manlift, Pallet Jacks
Must pass internal powered industrial truck training within first 90 days of employment.
Ability to work overtime as needed.
Ability to read and interpret production schedule, inventory reports, bills of lading, and pack lists.
Receive incoming materials and sign for same.
Must demonstrate excellent attention to detail and the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Ability to exhibit good judgment related to safety, quality, cost and delivery of parts, processes, and product.
Basic math, computer, and keyboarding skills to work within the ERP system.
Adherence to company PPE rules including but not limited to safety glasses, bump caps, and safety toe footwear.
Preferred :
2 Years of Warehousing Experience
Forklift Train-the-Trainer certification through recognized agency, such as the National Safety Council
Certifications relevant to warehousing and / or inventory control
Previous participation in Rapid Improvement Events (RIE’s)
Position Details :
Full-Time, non-exempt position.
Core Schedule : 10hr Shift : 7 : 30AM to 6 : 00PM - Monday thru Thursday.
Occasional overtime as needed on Fridays possible to cover absences.
Potential change in core hours can be discussed with the hiring team.
Training schedule for first 90 days : 6 : 00AM to 2 : 30PM, Monday thru Friday.
Position reports to the EHS Supervisor.
