Reports To: Fleet Manager
Position Description
The Fleet Administrator is responsible for ensuring all fleet assets are appropriately registered and permitted as needed. The successful candidate will have experience working with the Department of Motor Vehicles and will perform most DMV-related transactions. This position will work closely with office and field personnel to handle vehicle registrations, renewals, and permits as needed. The ideal applicant will have experience managing an IRP account and IFTA and HUT filings.
Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To
- Manages the companies’ IRP accounts, including additions and renewal
- Registers and renews non-IRP vehicles
- Tracks all vehicles to ensure no lapses in registration or insurance
- Assists with annual filings such as IFTA, HUT, and UCR
- Obtains permits as needed (oversize, divisible load)
- Assist with processing local property taxes
- Assist with the company fuel and toll programs as needed
Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Familiarity with different types of vehicles and their appropriate registration
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written
- Valid driver’s license
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
- Experience with the CT DMV IRP system or NY Oscar system preferred

Annual Salary Range: $25 - $30/hour, depending on experience
