Summary
Maintains responsibility for developing, implementing, and managing programs designed to identify, recruit, hire and develop the future leaders of the winery. Works closely with distributor partners to support their staffing needs by presenting high-potential candidates to them. Engages in the mentoring and development of winery and distributor partner's sales employees, ensuring that they are progressing as planned in their professional development. Identifies employees that are ready for promotional opportunities and presents them as candidates for internal opening.
Essential Functions

- Develops and maintains an effective college sales recruitment program to meet the needs of the region/area as well as partner distributors identified as key recruiting sites.
- Partners with colleges and universities to identify, attract and hire superior candidates for entry into the sales organization; maintains a network of key campus contacts to help identify and source qualified candidates.
- Oversees the development and maintenance of the talent pipeline.
- Works to support the hiring needs of distributor partners by presenting them with superior business-minded candidates; monitors the development of candidates while working with the distributor as they learn and implement best-in-class business and sales practices.
- Hires, develops, and implements a successful internship program under the guidelines set forth by the Sales Recruiting Director.
- Organizes and facilitates local Sales LDP HRP meetings to ensure all management is aligned with the current progress of our Sales LDPs.
- Consistently updates winery and distributor sales management on recruiting efforts, needs and results.
- Identifies ways to increase recruiting diversity efforts and participates in diversity outreach at targeted colleges and universities.
- Plans and implements regional recruiting conferences, retention and mentor events.
- Monitors trends associated with recruiting (e.g., leveraging social media) and implement them with candidates to drive a solid, qualified candidate pipeline.
- Leverages creative efforts to gain candidate interest in Gallo and to ensure they share their positive experiences with others on campus.
- Leverages sales techniques/training to close candidate acceptances (including but not limited to social media outlets).
- Provides mentoring, guidance, and coaching to winery and distributor sales employees ensuring their development and readiness for open positions.
- Pinpoints high-potential winery sales employees in the region and presents them to corporate recruiting for internal job openings.
- Executes development and retention strategies against key area resources. Shares leading recruiting and employee development practices with recruiting and development colleagues ensuring consistency of approach and sharing of best practices.
- Consistently evaluates recruiting efforts to determine if targeted colleges and universities are presenting the best qualified candidate pool; provides feedback and makes recommendations to the leadership team.
- Functions as the region's subject matter expert regarding implementing recruiting and training programs and practices; proposes new or improved recruiting materials and procedures.
- Ensures effective on boarding and capability development plans are in place to quickly get newly hired LDP's on track and producing quickly.
- Provides mentoring, guidance, and coaching to winery and distributor sales employees who are candidates for open internal positions.
- Reviews the resumes and credentials of candidates ensuring that the skills, experience and subject knowledge meet the minimum qualifications of the position.
- Presents the credentials of qualified high potential employees and recruiting candidates to hiring managers and department leaders at sales recruiting conferences.
- Oversees the scheduling and logistics for the interviewing of candidates; coordinates the post-interview/RRC debrief/feedback with the interview team and candidates.
- Manages the LDP Mentoring programs in conjunction with the Gallo field personnel.
- Ensures compliance with all applicable laws and regulations regarding recruiting and hiring.
- Completes any annual projects/administrative tasks given by manager to support the overall objectives of Gallo Sales LDP efforts.
- Maintains accurate and current records of all recruiting activities-to include, but not limited to, candidate interviews, RRC attendees, offers and acceptances.
- Successfully manages all recruiting and T&E budgets.
- Responsible for understanding and complying with applicable quality, environmental and safety regulatory considerations. If accountable for the work of others, responsible for ensuring their understanding and compliance.

Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate.
- Bachelor's degree plus 4 years of Gallo winery sales, Gallo affiliated or non-affiliated distributor sales, Gallo sales HR, or Gallo sales recruiting experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility OR Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of external selling experience.
- Experience managing projects.
- Required to be 21 years of age or older.
- Required to see, smell and taste wine and spirits as part of job duties.
- Candidates for this position must have a valid driver's license and safe driving record. Required to obtain a California driver's license or appropriate state driver's license within 30 days of hire.
- Required to travel by airplane or automobile up to 50% during heaving recruiting seasons to visit regional colleges, universities, or employees and 25% the rest of the year.
- Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

- Bachelor's degree plus 6 years of Gallo winery sales, Gallo affiliated or non-affiliated distributor sales, Gallo sales HR, or Gallo sales recruiting experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.

Compensation:
- Hiring Salary Range Posted: $104,310.00 - $173,900.00 / per year
- Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
