IT Support Specialist

We are hiring a full-time, on-site position within the McKernan headquarters located in Reno, NV. This is an excellent opportunity to work within the heart of a medium-sized business and gain exposure to a wide range of technical challenges, while directly contributing to our department’s health and success.

If you are seeking a career in an IT-related field, have a knack for problem-solving, and enjoy helping people and working with computer systems and networks, you will gain invaluable experience in this position.

Key Responsibilities

• First line of defense providing tech support duties for staff, troubleshooting and fixing workstation software and hardware issues
• Performing regular maintenance, updates, and health checks on workstations, servers, and other hardware
• Performing software installations and upgrades including operating system, Office platforms, and local applications
• Performing hardware upgrades and installations, setting up new computers for staff
• Support, monitor, and maintain networking infrastructure, LAN, WAN, Internet, SDWAN
• Perform on-boarding duties such as creating Active Directory accounts and configuring VOIP extensions
• Additional tasks as assigned
