Security officer positions may require you to perform the following regularly during a shift:
- Lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs
- Reach over your head with 10-25 lb loads
- Climb stairs with loads up to 50 lbs
- Walk and stand for long periods of time, climb stairs & ladders
- Type or work at a keyboard or desk
Job Description
Position: Experienced Security Flex Officers for Class A Building
Location: Atlanta (Metro area)
Pay: $20.00
Shifts: On Call
Employment Type: Full-time
Description: Unarmed security position providing fixed and roving patrol security for a client site. Must be on call for 40 hours per week. Guaranteed 24 hours per week.
General security responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Providing excellent customer service to our clients
- Observing, detouring, and reporting activities at the assigned site
- Responding quickly to critical situations
- Ability to read and write detailed reports
- Enforcing client procedures, regulations, and standards
Expectations include one or more of the following essential job functions with or without a reasonable accommodation:
- Ability to work various shifts as needed including weekends and holidays. Reasonable accommodation based on religious beliefs or disabilities will be considered on a case-by-case basis
- Must have great communication and customer service skills
- Ability to walk up and down stairs
- Standing for long periods of time sometimes in excess of eight hours
- Working outside in a variety of weather conditions depending on the assignment
Candidates are required to:
- Have a high school diploma or GED; associate degree preferred but not required
- Have a minimum two years security experience and/or Military/LEO
- Pass any State-required training or other qualifications for licensing
- Complete crisis prevention training
- Complete site-specific training before serving as a qualified security officer
- Have a valid, unexpired driver's license
- Have the knowledge to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors
- Be at least 18 years old or the minimum age required by the State
- Be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States
- Have access to reliable transportation/self-owned that allows for short-notice response
- Effectively read, write, and speak English
- Pass a background check
- Ability to work any shift, 24 hours per day, seven days per week
- Pass a drug test with negative results (except when undergoing documented medical treatment)
