What are the responsibilities and job description for the Worksite Erosion Control Supervisor - Augusta position at E.R. Snell Contractor?
A Worksite Erosion Control Supervisor (WECS) is an individual who is charged with maintaining NPDES permit compliance, specifically pertaining erosion control. Our permits require we conduct both routine and post-rain event inspections of infrastructure constructions projects and document those findings on an associated Excel spreadsheet. Job Responsibilities
- Performing inspections
- Maintaining the appropriate paperwork
- Coordinating sub-contractors
- This position is primarily structured outdoors on a live construction project.
- Must have a valid driver's license and pass an MVR test.
- Visual inspections of the job site are conducted involving a combination of walking and driving. Must be comfortable walking a construction job site and capable of walking through mud, over small obstacles, up / down steep slopes, etc.
- Individuals should have good organizational habits and good communication skills.
- Supervisory Skills Manage a crew, train employees, evaluate performance, report time, conduct interviews
- People Skills Meet with principals, supervisors, etc.
- Problem solving skills Negotiate solutions that are cost efficient for the company and owner
- Promote, execute and adhere to the company's safety program, and encourage all employees, sub-contractors and consultants to adopt safety as a culture.
- Basic computer skills required.
- Must be able to work nights and weekends when required.
The laborer positions requires long periods of standing, walking, climbing, stooping and bending.
