The Payroll Coordinator plays a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records.
Key responsibilities include computing, classifying, and recording numerical data to ensure the accuracy of business transactions. This role will perform routine calculating, posting, and verifying duties to obtain primary financial data for use in maintaining accounting records.
The Payroll Coordinator supports the Finance Department by entering pay information, administering payroll, and overseeing time-clocking software. They will resolve issues related to pay, PTO, and hours, as well as report on company transactions.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure Paylocity Time & Labor is accurate and completed by the payroll cutoff date
- Maintain accurate records of employee hours, wages, and deductions
- Ensure compliance with federal and state payroll regulations
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll and benefits
- Prepare and distribute payroll reports as needed
- Collaborate with HR and accounting departments to ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll
- Stay up-to-date with changes in payroll regulations and best practices
- Frequent verbal and written communication with colleagues
- Process accounts payable, invoices, and billing for client services
- Timely upkeep of existing and upcoming contracts (service agreements)
Requirements:
- 2 years of experience in payroll processing
- Strong knowledge of federal and state payroll regulations
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in G Suite, Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
- Experience with Paylocity is a plus
- Preferred Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
Compensation details: $45,000-$55,000 annual salary
