Position Summary
The Batch Maker is responsible for safely and accurately preparing chemical batches according to specified formulas and production guidelines. This role involves measuring, mixing, and monitoring raw materials and equipment to ensure consistent product quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow detailed batch tickets and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to mix raw materials
- Operate mixing tanks, pumps, valves, and other process equipment
- Weigh and measure ingredients using scales and other measuring tools
- Monitor batch processes for consistency, safety, and quality
- Take and record batch samples for quality testing
- Clean and maintain mixing equipment and work area
- Maintain accurate records of materials used and production output
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including handling of hazardous materials
- Report any deviations or equipment malfunctions to supervision immediately
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous experience in chemical manufacturing or batch processing preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely
- Basic math skills for measurement and recording
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physically demanding environment
- Comfortable working with chemicals and wearing appropriate PPE
- Forklift certification is a plus

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
