Summary:
This role is responsible for supporting various tasks in the production area, including operating machinery and handling materials. Candidates must have prior experience in a manufacturing setting; however, training will be provided on specific equipment such as centerless grinders, saws, and bar chamfering machines. Duties also include performing dimensional inspections and safely operating equipment like overhead cranes and forklifts to move and store materials.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Operate production machinery to fulfill customer orders: centerless grinders, saws, bar chamfering, and waterjets
- Perform material movement tasks as required by production schedules
- Safely operate material handling equipment (e.g., overhead cranes, forklifts, pallet jacks)
- Follow standard operating procedures for all machinery and equipment
- Work under direct supervision while maintaining a focus on safety and quality
- Identify and report equipment wear or defects; may assist with basic setup and preventative maintenance
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Required Qualifications:
- 3 Years of prior experience in a production or manufacturing environment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Basic competency in measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, etc.)
- Solid basic math skills
- Understanding of warehouse operations, concepts, and safety practices
- Strong work ethic and reliability
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:
- Manual dexterity and fine motor skills
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach regularly
- Push/pull and lift up to 50 lbs
- Frequent exposure to powered industrial equipment
- Operation of machinery and heavy equipment
- Use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required

Pay: $25.00 per hour
