Key Responsibilities:
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Manage and process payments, invoices, and receipts in a timely manner.
- Payroll Processing: Ensure accurate payroll processing for employees, including deductions and taxes.
- Tax Filings: Oversee preparation and filing of local, state, and federal tax documents.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Month-End/Year-End Close: Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed about changes in accounting regulations and best practices and apply these updates to internal processes and documentation.
- Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits as needed.
- General Ledger Maintenance: Monitor and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and up to date.
Required Qualifications:
- Skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, practices, and regulations. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
