Are you passionate about Human Resources and making a real difference in the nonprofit sector? EAC Network, a leading not-for-profit social service agency dedicated to helping over 79,000 people through 100 impactful programs across Long Island and NYC, is looking for a temporary part time Junior Recruiter to join the Human Resources department for a duration of 4 months.
Salary: $18-20/ hour
Schedule: Flexible hybrid schedule of 28 hours per week
Location: Garden City, NY
Reports to: Director of People & Culture
What drives the core purpose of this job:
The Recruiter assists in day-to-day operations of recruitment and staffing within the Human Resources Department.
What are the key responsibilities:
- Manage full-cycle recruitment for a variety of roles, including case managers, social workers, program coordinators, administrative staff, and leadership positions.
- Review applicants in Paycom and provide regular updates on recruitment metrics.
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies to attract diverse and qualified candidates through job boards, social media, networking, and referrals.
- Screen resumes, conduct initial interviews, and provide hiring managers with candidate recommendations.
- Maintain an active pipeline of qualified candidates for high-turnover and hard-to-fill roles.
- Partner with program leaders to understand staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies.
- Represent EAC Network at career fairs, networking events, and community outreach programs to attract top talent.
- Coordinate and schedule interviews, ensuring a seamless candidate experience.
- Assist with coordination/execution of special projects and events.
What key knowledge, skills, and abilities are required to excel in this role:
- Minimum of 1 year of sales experience – prior recruitment experience is a huge plus!
- Must be coachable and committed to learning best practices
- Must be proficient in computer applications or other automated systems such as spreadsheets, Microsoft Office applications, calendar, and email and/or database software necessary to perform work assignments.
