POSITION OVERVIEW - A remote position covering our Software Sales regions across the USA.
The Regional Director of Sales is responsible for leading and executing the sales strategy within a designated geographic region to drive new software, service, and support sales. This leadership role focuses on revenue growth, customer acquisition, and expansion of existing accounts while ensuring alignment with the company’s overall sales objectives. The Regional Director of Sales will oversee a team of sales professionals, establish sales processes, and collaborate cross-functionally to enhance business performance. The ideal candidate has a strong background in B2B software or SaaS sales, with a demonstrated ability to lead high-performing sales teams and deliver measurable growth.

Sales Strategy & Execution
- Develop and execute a regional sales strategy aligned with corporate goals.
- Drive revenue growth through new customer acquisition, account expansion, and customer retention.
- Implement best-in-class sales processes, methodologies, and performance metrics to optimize efficiency.
- Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive activities to refine sales approaches.
- Forecast sales activities and set performance goals for the regional team.
- Ensure effective resource allocation to meet and exceed regional revenue targets.
- Foster a high-performance sales culture focused on accountability, customer value, and results.
Revenue Growth & Customer Acquisition
- Own and manage the regional sales pipeline, ensuring strong lead generation and deal closure.
- Develop strategies to penetrate new markets and expand the company’s presence within the region.
- Identify and capitalize on upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts.
- Optimize pricing, contract negotiation, and value-based selling strategies.
- Attend regional promotional events to showcase company software solutions.
Customer Engagement & Relationship Management
- Deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals to key clients.
- Collaborate with sales executives to maintain strong relationships with key customers.
- Assist sales executives in negotiations and deal closures, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Act as a primary point of escalation for critical customer issues, driving timely resolution.
Internal Collaboration & Strategic Alignment
- Work closely with the SVP of Customer Success to ensure seamless transitions and long-term customer engagement.
- Partner with marketing to refine lead generation and demand-generation strategies within the region.
- Collaborate with product and service teams to align offerings with customer needs.
- Provide regional sales performance reports, including market trends and growth opportunities.
- Foster cross-functional collaboration to streamline sales operations and improve efficiency.
Sales Team Leadership & Development
- Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing regional sales team.
- Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success.
- Provide ongoing coaching, training, and professional development for team members.
- Cultivate a high-energy, results-driven sales culture focused on accountability and customer value.
- Conduct performance evaluations, set individual goals, and implement improvement plans as needed.
- Promote a positive work environment and champion company values.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support company objectives.
Qualifications
An equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered.
- 10 years of experience in sales, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- Proven track record of driving new software and service sales in a software reseller, SaaS, or enterprise software environment.
- Strong expertise in B2B sales, account management, and consultative selling.
- Experience working with PTC software or similar industrial/engineering software is highly desirable.
- Exceptional leadership and negotiation skills with a focus on team development.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and perform under pressure.
- Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed company goals and objectives.
- Strong strategic planning and execution skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Availability to travel within the assigned region, work evenings, and weekends as required by contract obligations or company needs.
- Demonstrated ability to perform consistently with high collaboration and output.

- Base Annual Salary is $120K for this salaried, exempt Full-Time remote position
