Job Summary:
The Planning Specialist will be responsible for optimizing the supply chain processes by forecasting demand, planning inventory, and coordinating procurement and production activities. This role ensures that supply meets demand while minimizing costs and maximizing efficiency within the organization.
Physical location of the position will be Adairsville, GA. Position will be responsible for the planning activities both in Adairsville and Tucker.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with sales and finance teams to align forecasts with business goals.
- Manage inter and cross company POs according to the SOs opened in the system.
- Track and report the progress of the opened product POs to ensure the promised dates of the deliveries.
- Review and update parameters to run the MRP.
- Review product BOMs to ensure correct production transactions.
- Create and review SAP item codes and define their parameters to manage the supply chain.
- Review the system records and monitor inventory levels to maintain optimal stock and reduce excess or obsolete inventory.
- Participate to the implementation of WMS with physical and system implementations.
- Value stream mapping and continuous improvement of the process with lean process management concept.
- Optimize supply plans to align with capacity, lead times, and cost objectives.
- Prepare and update the operational work instructions.
- Provide regular updates to stakeholders on supply chain performance metrics.
- Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop contingency plans.
- Create and publish management reports on operational data.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in SAP and analytical tools such as Excel and Power BI.
- Lean manufacturing and lean process system knowledge.

Education and Experience:
Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
At least 5 years’ related experience required.
