EAGLE is seeking a Food Safety Management System (FSMS) Technical Manager to manage tasks related to the auditor lifecycle and provides support for audit activities and program development. Ensure auditor competence aligning with current standard requirements. Including developing and maintaining technical standards, managing certification assessment databases, ensuring the integrity of assessments, and staying abreast of industry trends to ensure the certification remains relevant and reliable, while collaborating with other departments within the organization to deliver high-quality certifications.

Responsibilities include:
- Screening and evaluating new auditor candidates, including reviewing credentials, conducting interviews, and approving auditor contracts for service.
- Manage, conduct, and review witness audits associated with food standards.
- Review annual auditor performance and manage auditor development plans.
- Assists with the implementation of new or modified programs.
- Responsible for appeals and complaints from food clients.
- Responsible for the completion of EAGLE industry code and food sector category tasks.
- Assist with internal and external audits.
- Responsible for Auditor capacity in respective areas
- Provide technical support for quoting in the industry of expertise.
- Work with other auditors, clients, and staff members to assist with the management of the audit process.
- Develop and deliver training communication as needed
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or biochemistry.
- A minimum of 5 years of work experience in a food related industry.
- Working knowledge in GFSI Standard (FSSC, BRCGS, and SQF)
- Become or maintain Auditor credential in a GFSI Standard
- Travel will be required for trade shows, technical events, and auditor witnessing.
- Must be able to clearly and concisely communicate with employees, customers, and auditors. Must be able to negotiate best compromises as necessary.
- Requires high-level proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and database software.
- Familiarity and experience with Management Systems
- For GFSI Programs must have food production or processing experience and understand the principles of HACCP.
- Project management and task completion skills
- Strong initiative and ability to work independently
- Ability to effectively manage multiple audit processes simultaneously.
