Manager of IS Flight System

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Manager of the Lufthansa Flight System (LSY) to lead and optimize one of the most crucial systems in the aviation industry. In this role, you will oversee system management, troubleshoot technical issues, and coordinate efforts between IT, business users, and external vendors to ensure smooth and efficient operations. Key Responsibilities:

• System Management:
• Lead the management and resolution of tickets within the Lufthansa Flight System (LSY).
• Prioritize and escalate high-impact issues to Product Development Managers (PDMs) to ensure prompt resolution.
• Analysis & Troubleshooting:
• Conduct in-depth analysis of technical issues to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
• Provide detailed, clear descriptions of issues to expedite resolution and minimize downtime.
• Coordination & Leadership:
• Act as the central liaison between business users, LSY support teams, and internal IT to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
• Drive the timely resolution of outstanding issues by actively following up with LSY, IT teams, and business users.
• Knowledge Management & Training:
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of ticket workflows, solutions, and system improvements.
• Lead training sessions and provide ongoing support to business users on LSY functionalities and updates.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities to manage cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Proven track record in managing and resolving software issues within complex systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Extensive experience with airline systems, specifically the Lufthansa Flight System (LSY).
• Familiarity with ticket management systems and processes.
• Experience leading and collaborating with vendors, development teams, and internal IT departments.
• Ability to document and improve system workflows for optimal performance.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
