What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales Representative position at Eagle Distributing Inc?
Primary Duties:
- Maintain regular call frequency to the assigned off premise accounts with the buyers.
- Develop a business relationship with customers and discuss sales trends
- Refresh and face stock on shelves and displays
- Responsible for product rotation on the shelves and in the coolers from back stock
- Ensure that close dated product is monitored and returned to the warehouse or sold through the account before the pull date
- Ensure all product packaging reflects the integrity of packaging standards and remove those that do not
- Report breakage and out of code to the Sales & Service Representative
- Monitor and report all competitive activity
- Sell in new products and increase distribution of high end, primary and secondary brands.
- Sell in current and future price promotions with customers
- Book displays and assist in building and merchandising large displays
- Ensure all POS is clean, functional and updated.
- Fulfill pre-established sales objectives and implementation of company marketing programs at the retail level
- Survey and influence retail accounts to ensure a competitive edge in dominant POS placement, price points, shelf space and product location
- Execute special assignments and impact selling objectives as assigned by management
- Transmit orders generated from daily sales in a timely manner
- Communicate with the Sales and Service Representatives on a daily basis.
Additional Skills:
- Daily travel within a 100 mile radius, driving company vehicle
- Ability to load, lift, move, push and/or pull up to 75 lbs
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Self-motivated and results oriented
- Trained and certified to operate powered industrial lift trucks, electric pallet jack and hand truck.
- Familiarity with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc)
- Draught technical troubleshooting skills
- Able to attend all required meetings / trainings
Requirements:
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- High School Diploma or GED, Bachelor’s Degree is highly preferred, but not required.
- Valid Drivers License and acceptable driving record
- 3 years of beverage industry and merchandising experience preferred, but not required.
- Able to work under minimal supervision
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as required.
