Inventory Sales Company is a full-line fastener company with locations stocking various items in different divisions including Fasteners, Weld Studs, Strut, Tools, Global Sourcing, Fabrication, Sign Shop, and Printing.


Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for an Outside Sales Representative. The representative will be responsible for sales presentations, relationship building, customer service, communication, and new business development.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop a business plan to achieve sales goals and company objectives
  • Achieve and exceed growth, revenue, and gross margin objectives
  • Develop relationships with key end users to gain understanding of industry needs
  • Develop and expand, maintain and improve business relations with customer base
  • Responsible for improving customer satisfaction; accountable for resolving customer problems
  • Work with local suppliers to make joint end user calls to drive sales growth.
  • Continuously communicate sales, marketing, and inventory needs to all levels of the organization
  • Develop and utilize account plans which measure goal attainment
  • Track daily sales call activities (until new CRM is in place) to ensure proper customer interaction cadence is developed.
  • Analyze regional market data including but not limited to competitor data, economic trends, industry data to assess and calibrate territories and growth opportunities
  • Manage operating expense budget for assigned area
  • Follow company guidelines on communications for everything from pricing to quality issues, to customer stock outs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Sales or Marketing preferred but nor required
  • Knowledge of the commercial construction, industrial, and distribution markets
  • 10 years of industrial and/or commercial construction end user sales experience
  • Overnight travel as needed, not to exceed 10% of time
  • High energy level
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to work cross functionally across the broader business
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills to identify opportunities and mitigate risks
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Power BI or similar database applications
