Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for an Outside Sales Representative. The representative will be responsible for sales presentations, relationship building, customer service, communication, and new business development.
Responsibilities:
- Develop a business plan to achieve sales goals and company objectives
- Achieve and exceed growth, revenue, and gross margin objectives
- Develop relationships with key end users to gain understanding of industry needs
- Develop and expand, maintain and improve business relations with customer base
- Responsible for improving customer satisfaction; accountable for resolving customer problems
- Work with local suppliers to make joint end user calls to drive sales growth.
- Continuously communicate sales, marketing, and inventory needs to all levels of the organization
- Develop and utilize account plans which measure goal attainment
- Track daily sales call activities (until new CRM is in place) to ensure proper customer interaction cadence is developed.
- Analyze regional market data including but not limited to competitor data, economic trends, industry data to assess and calibrate territories and growth opportunities
- Manage operating expense budget for assigned area
- Follow company guidelines on communications for everything from pricing to quality issues, to customer stock outs.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Sales or Marketing preferred but nor required
- Knowledge of the commercial construction, industrial, and distribution markets
- 10 years of industrial and/or commercial construction end user sales experience
- Overnight travel as needed, not to exceed 10% of time
- High energy level
- Strong leadership skills and ability to work cross functionally across the broader business
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills to identify opportunities and mitigate risks
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Power BI or similar database applications
