Summary
We are seeking a Sales Engineer to join our team, ideally based in Austin, TX. The ideal candidate will have experience with video surveillance systems and cloud-based technology and will play a critical role in supporting our sales efforts by providing technical expertise, solution design, and customer guidance.
Responsibilities:
Technical Expertise & Pre-Sales Support
- Develop deep product knowledge to articulate key features, benefits, and use cases.
- Provide pre-sales technical support to sales teams, partners, and customers.
- Deliver remote product demos and presentations to showcase solutions.
- Train internal sales personnel and resellers on products and offerings.
- Support evaluations, proof-of-concepts (PoCs), and pilot programs.
- Stay informed on industry trends and competitive landscapes.
- Provide support and assistance in responding to RFPs
- Assist in designing custom solutions tailored to customer needs.
- Guide sales teams on solution positioning and product alignment.
- Consult on system design, including hardware, subscriptions, and integrations.
- Spec system hardware to meet project requirements.
Experience
- 2-3 Years of experience as a sales engineer (or comparable role) at a Video Surveillance or a SaaS company
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience - Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, or equivalent preferred
- Ability to build and present high quality product demonstrations to both technical and executive audiences.
- Interest in high-tech & willingness to learn about all relevant aspects of technology
- You possess exceptional organizational and planning skills and have the innate ability to multitask
- Understanding of TCP/IP Networking
- Confidence and willingness to stretch beyond current skills and capabilities.
- Cyber Security Proficiency
