About The Role
We are looking for a highly skilled Unix/Linux Systems Administrator to join our team and
support Operational Smart Grids (OSG) infrastructure. In this role, you will be responsible for
maintaining enterprise-level infrastructure, ensuring operational efficiency, and implementing
best practices in a highly regulated environment. You will work closely with technical teams and
external vendors to support enterprise services, identify areas for improvement, and ensure
compliance with industry regulations.
Qualifications & Experience
To be considered for this role, you must meet at least one of the following:
Associate Degree (AS) in a technical field 8 years of relevant experience
Bachelor's Degree (BS) in a technical field 6 years of relevant experience
Master's Degree (MS) in a technical field 4 years of relevant experience
No degree? No problem! Candidates with 10 years of relevant experience and/or related
technical certifications may also qualify.
Required Skills & Expertise
Unix/Linux System Administration Hands-on experience managing enterprise-level
systems
Automation & Scripting Proficiency with automation tools to improve efficiency
Regulatory Knowledge (Preferred) Experience Working In a Regulatory Environment,
particularly NERC CIP compliance
Additional Experience
Minimum of 4 years of experience working with infrastructure solutions in an enterprise
environment
Proficiency in Unix/Linux OS (Oracle Solaris, Red Hat/Oracle Enterprise Linux 7-9)
Experience with Oracle Exadata configuration, administration, and patching
Knowledge of VMware, containerization, and virtualization
Strong understanding of networking, Active Directory, and security compliance
frameworks
Key Responsibilities
Maintain & Support Infrastructure Define and implement policies, best practices, and
tools to support infrastructure operations
Incident & Task Management Respond to incidents and requests within established SLAs
Technical Design & Implementation Work with internal teams and vendors to identify,
design, and support technical solutions
Regulatory Compliance Ensure adherence to NERC CIP guidelines and other security
frameworks
Project Support & Leadership Lead technical implementation plans and provide
mentorship to team members
On-Call Support Provide 24x7 support for mission-critical systems
Travel Requirements Must be willing to travel within the U.S. as needed
