Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our Accounting department. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial acumen and a comprehensive understanding of accounting principles. This role is crucial in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing insightful financial analysis to support business decisions.
Responsibilities
- Code and post all general ledger entries accurately.
- Process payments for all outstanding invoices, ensuring bills are paid in a timely manner.
- Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring all accounts are properly accounted for.
- Conduct bank reconciliations to verify that all transactions are recorded accurately.
- Develop and maintain advanced Excel spreadsheets for data analysis and reporting purposes.
- Maintain reports and documentation supporting reconciliations and transactions.
- Complete other finance related activities.
Experience
- Proficiency with bookkeeping and journal entry skills
- Experience with accounting software
- Proven experience in accounting or finance roles, with a solid understanding of financial principles and practices.
- Proficiency in general ledger reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliation.
- Strong Excel skills with the ability to create and maintain advanced excel spreadsheets
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
