Position Details:
Title: Special Services Secretary – Confidential Position
Placement (location): District Office- Eagle Point, OR
Supervisor: Director of Teaching & Learning and Special Services
Contract Days: 261 Days (Full Time/Year Round) to begin ASAP
Salary Range: $55,636 to $70,307 per year, depending upon previous full-time experience in a similar position
Closing Date: Screening to begin immediately, open until filled
Description:
This full time position will serve as the primary contact person and liaison between the Director of Teaching & Learning and Special Education district/building personnel, parents, students and the general public. The successful candidate will work in support of the District Special Education Coordinator and facilitate all ODE state reporting related to special education requirements. They will maintain information from various organizations and obtain knowledge of district policies, Oregon Revised Statutes, Oregon Administrative Rules and State and Federal requirements. This position will perform all essential functions of an executive secretary including but not limited to: clerical duties, record keeping, organizational and support services, scheduling, maintaining budgets, coordinating training events, answering phones, controlling email, as well as other duties as assigned.

The ideal applicant will demonstrate initiative in all aspects of the position with a professional attitude when dealing with employees, community members and colleagues. Additionally, the ideal applicant will strive for outstanding customer service whether that be via phone, email, in person or through correspondence. Applicants who are bilingual, have a background in special education, experience working with ODE reports and large budgets and/or prior clerical work in a school district are encouraged to apply.
