What are the responsibilities and job description for the Secretary, Special Services - 8 hrs/day - District Office position at KLAMATH FALLS CITY SCHOOLS?
Schedule: 8.0 Hours per day/200 days.
Rate of Pay: $16.44 per hour (DOE)

FUNCTION: Perform a variety of office duty tasks such as answering the phone, scheduling appointments, photocopying, filing, opening and distributing mail, and other duties necessary to ensure the smooth operation of the program. Establish and maintain a positive and effective working relationship with all district staff and the public.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Support special services staff in assistance with administrative functions; Make decisions independently in accordance with established procedures and policy; Answers telephone and gives information to callers regarding special programs services; Assist certified and classified staff; Assist with the scheduling of evaluations, eligibility and IEP meetings, as needed; Monitor confidential testing protocol inventory; Maintain inventories and orders for equipment, materials, supplies, etc.; Maintain accurate time sheets for payroll; Types letters, reports, minutes from notes, verbal instruction, or independently; Coordinate a variety of programs and activities as assigned (e.g. substitute teachers, meetings, in-service day activities, workshops, etc.); Maintains confidential student files and materials; Keep student information confidential; Attend necessary trainings; Possess and exhibit an upbeat positive attitude; Develop positive working relationships with students, staff, families, and visitors; Other duties may be assigned as needs of the school determine.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each duty.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Three years clerical experience or combination of experience and training preferred.
