Company Overview: Eagle RailCar Services, founded in 2001, is one of the nation’s leading independent providers of railcar repair services. Position Summary: We are looking for an HR Representative to organize, coordinate, and execute HR projects and processes. The ideal candidate will thrive in an industrial environment, with a diverse work force and possess the ability to work independently. This position is typically a dual role, with additional administrative duties assigned by the Plant Manager. HR Representatives in our company have indirect oversight by Corporate HR and follow established liaison processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Form Processing: Efficiently manage new-hire, re-hire, termination, and other employee-related forms (PTO, FMLA, etc.) in accordance with company policy, ensuringtimely electronic submission to Corporate Human Resources and Payroll offices.
- I-9 Verification: Verify Form I-9 using the E-Verify system.
- Benefits Enrollment: Assist eligible employees with the benefits enrollment process as directed by the benefits administrator ensuring compliance with company policy, state and federal regulations.
- Application Management: Sort and review resumes/applications, assisting the hiring manager throughout the hiring process.
- Job Coordination: Collaborate with the leadership team on available employment opportunities and corresponding job descriptions.
- Recruitment Advertising: Coordinate job advertisements with the Corporate Recruiter.
- File Maintenance: Maintain electronic personnel files per company policy.
- Additional Duties: Perform other administrative duties as assigned by PM and/or Corporate HR.
Requirements:
- Organization & Self-Motivation: Highly organized and self-driven.
- Time Management: Excellent time management skills.
- Communication: Effective communication skills.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience and Education:
- Education:
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent (required).
- Experience:
- 3-5 years of clerical/administrative experience
- 1-2 years of human resources
