EMPLOYMENT CLASSIFICATION: Full-time. Non-exempt.
ABOUT EAGLE RANCH
Eagle Ranch is a Christ-centered nonprofit organization located in Flowery Branch, Georgia, that takes a whole family approach to restoring and renewing relationships for children and families. Eagle Ranch was founded in 1985 and has served thousands of children and their families.
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
The Volunteer Coordinator is the primary liaison between Ranch volunteers and our organization. In addition, this person is the “face” of the Ranch at community events as well as the creator of opportunities for interested individuals to tour /visit our campus. The Volunteer Coordinator plays an invaluable role in caring for our local community and connecting them with our ministry at whatever level they desire to engage.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Volunteer Outreach Lead (45%):
Champion and lead all volunteer programs and initiatives through activities including but not limited to:
- Lead volunteer coordinating for all Ranch events (golf tournament, Ranch Family Fest, SOAR race, etc.).
- Strategically manage all volunteer platforms (Volunteer Hub, Signup Genius, Meal Train, etc.).
- Create and coordinate consistent opportunities for volunteers to engage.
- Proactively engage current volunteers and recruit/train new ones.
- Make volunteer opportunities a remarkable experience (greet each group, take photos, follow-up, etc.).
- Collaborate with Marketing on developing and maintain a system for regular “thanking” of volunteers.
- Help cultivate an attitude of gratitude across our campus. Help staff deliver prompt and timely thank you’s to volunteers who serve them.
COMMUNITY OUTREACH (20%)
Expand outreach in the community through activities including but not limited to:
- Coordinate, greet and assist with appropriate local groups, businesses and non-profits who want to use our facilities for their meetings
- Develop strategic plan to invite retirement communities, neighborhoods and appropriate others to participate in ministry tours and on-campus experiences
- In collaboration with the Director of Development and Outreach Coordinator, determine appropriate community outreach opportunities to participate in.
- Represent Eagle Ranch at various opportunities in the community (church showcases, community festivals, galas, etc.).
- Organize opportunities for staff to show intentional gratitude for community champions/others in the community engaged in like-kind work.
- Coordinate Ranch speakers for on-campus and off-campus events.
- Help with Donor Appreciation
- Assist Director of Development and Outreach Coordinator as needed.
EVENT SUPPORT (35%)
Assist with all Eagle Ranch Outreach and Development related events through activities including but not limited to:
- Managing online databases to maintain guest lists, RSVPs, table layouts, etc, for all volunteer and Eagle Ranch events.
- Provide administrative event support for outreach team including but not limited to preparing name tags, gifts, décor, etc.
- Attend and assist before, during, and after all Eagle Ranch Outreach and Development related events.
- Assist with Outreach Coordinator as needed.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; proven experience in relevant position.
- Good written and verbal communicator.
- Work cohesively within the team to achieve shared goals.
- Flexibility to work some early mornings/nights/weekends with special events and community outreach.
- Ability to use common computer applications, competent in Microsoft Office, and familiarity with the internet and email communications.
