Job Overview: The Human Resources Coordinator will play a crucial role in supporting the HR Manager in various HR functions. This position involves a blend of both strategic and operational tasks, focusing on areas such as recruitment and staffing, employee relations, training support, performance management assistance, policy implementation, compliance monitoring, benefits administration, and payroll support. The HR Coordinator will collaborate closely with different business segments to understand and address their HR requirements under the guidance of the HR Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruitment & Staffing Support: Assist in the recruitment process, including job postings, resume screening, interview scheduling, and participating in the selection process.
- Employee Relations: Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries, assist in resolving workplace issues, and help interpret and administer employment contracts.
- Training and Development Assistance: Support the identification of training needs and the organization of training programs.
- Performance Management Support: Assist in coordinating the performance review process in line with company policies and legal requirements.
- Policy Implementation: Help in implementing HR policies and procedures developed by the HR Manager.
- Compliance Monitoring: Assist in ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Benefits Administration Support: Help manage the employee benefits program, including liaising with vendors and addressing employee queries.
- Payroll Assistance: Support the payroll process in coordination with the finance department.
- Promoting a Positive Work Environment: Contribute to initiatives that foster a healthy and productive workplace.
- Business Segment Collaboration: Work under the HR Manager to serve as a support contact for business segments, understanding their HR needs.
- Change Management and Advisory Support: Assist in advising leaders on people issues, change management, performance, and compliance.
- Communication Facilitation: Help in promoting effective communication between management and staff.
- Operational HR Tasks: Handle day-to-day HR tasks and administration, including record-keeping, HR database management, and policy dissemination.
Requirements, Qualifications, & Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Knowledge of HR practices and principles.
- Ability to assist in HR management, including benefits administration, performance management, and employment law.
- Good organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities.
- Team-oriented with a collaborative approach.
- Bachelor's degree in HR, business administration, or related field preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in an HR role preferred.
- Proficiency in HRIS and basic HR management software.
- Ability to work under the supervision of an HR Manager and within a team environment.
Work Environment:
- Professional office setting, involving standard office equipment.
- Full-time position, typically 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
