Position Overview

Due to a recent retirement, Eaglestone Equipment has an amazing opportunity for an Estimator. The Estimator will be responsible for analyzing project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to prepare detailed cost estimates for manufactured products. Including calculating material costs, labor costs, overhead expenses, and other relevant factors. They will also collaborate with various departments, including sales, engineering, purchasing, and production, to gather information and ensure accurate estimations.

What is the Opportunity?

This position will perform duties as follows:

• Review and interpret project specifications, blueprints, and customer requirements to determine the scope of work.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for manufacturing projects.
• Utilize estimating software and tools to create accurate and efficient estimates.
• Collaborate with sales, engineering and manufacturing teams to understand production processes and identify potential cost savings.
• Obtain quotes from suppliers for materials and components.
• Analyze historical cost data and market trends to improve estimating accuracy.
• Present cost estimates to management and explain the basis of the estimates.
• Maintain accurate records of estimates and supporting documentation.
• Identify and analyze cost variances between estimated and actual costs.
• Continuously improve estimating processes and methodologies.
• Stays up to date on industry trends and new manufacturing technologies.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Salary Range - $60,000 - $70,000 depending on experience/qualifications

What Qualifications are needed?

• Associate or bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing) or a related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Google Suite and/or Microsoft Office proficiency
• At least three plus in manufacturing cost estimating, preferably in the conveyor industry.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and cost drivers.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
• Experience with estimating software and ERP systems. Experience with Costimator highly preferred.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
