Primary Purpose:
Provide reception and clerical assistance for the efficient operation of the WRMS Front Office and middle school in general.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
- High School diploma or GED
Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Excellent oral and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to interact professionally with students, parents, staff at all levels, external visitors from the community, CPS, and other agencies
- Strong organizational and computer skills
- Ability to multi-task and willingness to learn new things
Experience:
- One to three years’ secretarial experience, preferred
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
- Maintain and secure Front Desk reception area
- Use discretion in admitting visitors to the campus via the buzz-in system, adhering to
safety concerns and procedures
- Display sound judgment in daily and emergency decision-making
- Demonstrate a positive and impartial attitude to visitors, parents, teachers, students and other EISD staff in all communications
- Greet and direct campus visitors
- Utilize the sign-in/sign-out Raptor system to log visitors and issue guest badges
- Answer and route all campus calls made to the main number, take and disseminate
messages
- Enter and monitor work orders, communicating with M&O and other departments to
facilitate completion
- Maintain campus calendars, complete Facility usage request, assign meeting areas
- Receive/log/distribute mail and packages
- Set up and maintain staff phone extensions, mailboxes; communicate set-up with new staff members
- Manage Substitutes, ensure Frontline assignments are confirmed, and oversee
substitute communications
- Prepare reports/correspondence
- Assist campus personnel in daily operational duties as needed
- Complete all tasks in a timely manner

Tools/Equipment Used: Standard office equipment including computer and peripherals; Skyward, Raptor 6, Eduphoria, SchoolDude, Google Workspace, buzz-in system, iPad, printer, multiline phone system, copier, fax machine, laminator, intercom system, campus radios
Posture: Prolonged sitting. Occasional bending/stooping, pushing/pulling and twisting
Motion: Repetitive hand motions including frequent keyboarding and use of a mouse
Lifting: Occasional light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds)
Environment: Work is performed in an office setting; may require occasional irregular and/or prolonged hours
Mental Demands: Work with frequent interruptions, maintain emotional control under stress
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.75 - $23.61 per hour
