EAPC is seeking an Electrical Engineering Student Intern. This position would provide support to an Electrical Engineer on various commercial building projects.
As an Electrical Engineering Student Intern, you will:
- Work as an Integrated Member of a Multi-Discipline, In-House Team of Engineers, Architects, and Drafting Specialists working with AutoCAD and REVIT
- Assist engineers and BIM Modelers with completing project design documentation, calculations, research, CAD drawings and/or reports
- Assist project engineers and BIM Modelers in preparing project cost estimates, reports, and design documents
- Assist engineers with calculations and design
- Assist engineers in preparation of reports, department procedures, techniques, and standards
- Other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Current engineering student with at least 2 years completed in Electrical Engineering curriculum
- Design experience a plus
- Excellent verbal/written communication
- Able to manage time, prioritize tasks, stay organized
- Excellent design skills and attention to detail
- Willingness to learn and accepting coaching/mentoring
- Must be highly motivated, proactive, and willing to take on new challenges.
- Able to learn and use software
- Valid driver’s license
- Eligible to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship
This position will report directly to the Electrical Engineering Department Lead and work as an integrated member of a multi-discipline, in-house team of Architects and Engineers. This is a non-benefitted position with variable hours contingent on capacity and availability.
Wage Range: $17-24/hr. The listed pay range represents the company's good faith estimate of the minimum and maximum base rate of pay for this position at the time of the posting. The selected candidate's compensation will be determined based on their work location, qualifications, relevant experience, operational needs, demonstrated performance over time, and internal pay alignment.
