Job Summary:
As Assistant Teacher you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support for the children in our program.
Key Responsibilities:
· Support Lead Teachers in providing nurturing care and supervision to children in our program.
· Assist with planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities that promote learning, creativity, and socialization.
· Foster positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues, creating a supportive and inclusive community.
· Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment that meets state licensing requirements and health and safety standards.
· Collaborate with Lead Teacher to observe and document children’s progress, behaviors, and interactions.
· Assist with meal preparation, feeding, diapering, and other basic care tasks as needed.
· Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in early childhood education.
· Adhere to ECDC policies and procedures, including confidentiality guidelines and code of conduct.
Qualifications:
· A passion for working with young children and a commitment to their well-being and development.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
· Patience, empathy, and a nurturing demeanor are essential qualities for success in this role.
· Willingness to obtain CPR, First Aid, and professional development training

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
- Previous experience in a childcare or educational setting.
- Ability to teach and communicate effectively.
- Strong understanding of early childhood development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Creativity and enthusiasm in planning and implementing educational activities.
- Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with children.
- Willingness to engage in ongoing professional development, including First-Aid and CPR.
