What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Infant Teacher position at Learning Adventures Preschool and Childcare?
We are looking for a qualified Infant and Toddler Teachers
Responsibilities
- Develop a careful and creative program suitable for children ages 6 weeks to 18 months old 2 separate rooms including an infant room and tiny movers room.
- Employ a variety of techniques (soothing, bottle feeding, cuddling and help putting to sleep/sleep checks, beginning feeding, early sensory play, simple art, etc.) to aid in children's safe and healthy transition into childcare
- Organize and follow individual children's daily schedules for food and sleep as well as supervise children to ensure they are safe at all times
- Track children’s progress and report to parents
- Communicate with parents regularly to understand the children’s background and psyche
- Collaborate with other educators
- Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards
Skills
- Proven experience as an Infant and/or Toddler Teacher
- Patience and a simple love of caring for children
- Excellent understanding of the principles of child development and milestones for ages ranging from 6 weeks to 18 months old
- Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms
- Excellent communication and instructional skills
- Ability to act as mediator between children
- Cool-tempered, friendly and reliable
- Balance between a creative mind and a practical acumen
- Certification in child CPR & First Aid
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $13.00 - $13.50 per hour
