Early Education: KITS Site Coordinator

Summer – 142 hours
2025 Summer: June 30th – August 7th
Position Description:
There will be a mandatory training prior to start of the program, June 17-20. The site coordinator will participate in coordinating details for implementation of the Kids in Transition to School (KITS) Program school readiness and parent groups, including (but not limited to) the following: organizing materials specific to intervention, monitoring data collection and completion from staff and families, purchasing of implementation supplies (e.g., materials, snacks, etc.), participating in coordinating logistics and assisting the KITS team in reaching and maintaining fidelity. Groups meet for 3.5 hours each session, including prep time. During the summer there will be a morning and afternoon session. Groups will meet Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
- Coordinate logistics of program
- Recruit families for program participation
- Participate in staff trainings
- Manage intervention materials and allocation of tasks to teachers, assistants, and parent group facilitators
- Manage essential forms and paperwork
- Manage day-to-day operations
- Work with the team to implement adaptations and support for individual student needs
- Monitor data collection for each session and follow up for missing data
- Assist the KITS team in reaching and maintaining fidelity of implementation as guided by the KITS consultant
- Prepare data collection materials as requested
- Other project related tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree, teaching license, desired or equivalent combination of training and experience appropriate to the position
- Experience working with and/or educating young children and families
- Understanding of child development and appropriate expectations for 4–6 year olds
- Understanding of student behavioral interventions
- Experience in a leadership position
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Good working knowledge of personal computers: formal training and/or employment experience in this area strongly preferred
Compensation:
Hourly rate will be $29.62 an hour and is grant funded.
