What are the responsibilities and job description for the Intake Specialist position at Early Learning Institute?
SYNOPSIS OF DUTIES:
This highly experienced Early Intervention Specialist will provide initial or transitional evaluation services to clients, and help parents begin to understand and access community resources. The Intake Specialist administers evaluations in the client’s home, produces timely reports and interacts with other professionals on the intake team, including the funding Service Coordinator. This is a fast-paced, 36 hour per week position, with flexible scheduling and partial remote work opportunities.
RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following:
1) Initial intake visit and assessment.
2) Produce required reports outlining assessment findings within the established time frame.
3) Establish effective communications with parents, care-providers and other professionals.
4) Provide clear explanation of program protocols and goals
5) Participates and contributes as a transdisciplinary community team member
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1) Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood, Special Education, Human Services or related health field; or licensed professional.
2) Two - four years early intervention field experience, or, equivalent assessment experience.
3) Broad based knowledge of development.
4) Experience with a variety of assessment tools.
5) Knowledge of community resources.
6) Proficient with Microsoft cloud products.
7) Ability to problem solve efficiently and effectively.
8) Ability to communicate effectively, through oral and written skills,.
9) Ability to consistently demonstrate good judgment and decision making skills.
10) Ability to exercise discretion and confidentiality pertaining to the work environment.
11) Ability to remain flexible in the context of shifting/changing priorities.
Fingerprint clearance required. Ability to obtain clearance from any applicable licensing agencies. Must have reliable transportation and proof of valid California driver’s license. Evidence of any and all health and safety training and/or credentials and certifications required by law or licensing.

Pay: $76,520.00 - $84,240.00 per year
