JOB SUMMARY:
To assist in the repair of aircraft wheels and brakes.
Duties and responsibilities
- Carry out assigned tasks, in accordance with the applicable maintenance manual.
- Ensure maintenance operations are performed in the appropriate sequence (as determined by the applicable maintenance data), that inspections are requested in an orderly and timely manner, and that maintenance activities are performed according to the appropriate maintenance data and customer requirements
- Perform Maintenance, troubleshooting and modifications on the following systems: Aircraft Wheels and Brakes
- Identify parts and material required to accomplish tasks assigned
- Ability to identify Alternate P/N’s and PRE/Post Mod P/N’s
- Use calibrated tooling and test equipment to perform assigned tasks
- Request stock as required for the work being performed
- Report potential airworthy discrepancies to Lead
- Perform all other duties as assigned by Lead
- Work in accordance with established safety practices including proper use of personal protective equipment; maintain a neat and orderly work area.
EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:
- High school education or equivalent required
- Repairman's Certificate preferred
- Experience or working knowledge of mechanical devices. Prefer basic knowledge of aircraft systems
- Aircraft Wheel and Brake experience required
