This position requires a strong understanding of inventory management systems and data analysis, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with various departments to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels across multiple locations.
- Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure data integrity and compliance with company standards.
- Implement process improvements to enhance inventory management systems and workflows.
- Utilize data mining techniques to analyze inventory trends and identify areas for optimization.
- Collaborate with warehouse teams to streamline operations and improve overall efficiency.
- Manage relationships with third-party logistics (3PL) providers to ensure timely delivery of products.
- Utilize MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems for effective inventory forecasting and planning.
- Prepare reports using Power BI to present inventory metrics and insights to management.
- Support financial modeling efforts related to inventory costs and turnover rates.
- Maintain familiarity with AS400 systems for accurate record keeping.
Requirements
- Proven experience in inventory management or a related field, preferably within a warehouse environment.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in data mining and reporting tools such as Power BI.
- Familiarity with MRP systems and 3PL operations is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of financial modeling techniques related to inventory management is a plus.
- Proficient in using software applications, including AS400, for inventory tracking and reporting.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities with a focus on process improvement initiatives.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are essential for maintaining accurate records.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks effectively.
