Earth Right Mid-Atlantic, Virginia's premier solar and energy efficiency provider is seeking a dedicated and skilled Solar Installer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the installation of solar energy systems for residential properties. This position requires a strong understanding of electrical systems and safety protocols to ensure efficient and safe installations.
Duties
- Install solar panels on rooftops according to specifications and schematics.
- Perform electrical work including wiring, connecting inverters, and ensuring compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC).
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete installations.
- Conduct site assessments to determine optimal placement of solar panels while considering structural integrity and aesthetics.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Troubleshoot installation issues and perform necessary adjustments or repairs as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment on the construction site. .
Experience
- Previous experience in solar installation is required.
- Familiarity with low voltage systems, schematics, and the use of voltmeters is essential.
- Knowledge of roofing techniques is a plus.
- Ability to work at heights and navigate various roof types safely.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are crucial for success in this role.
- A valid driver’s license is required for this position.
