Key Responsibilities
Finance & Accounting Duties
- Process and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable entries
- Handle a high volume of invoicing and AP entries with accuracy and attention to detail
- Assist with payroll preparation
- Create new projects and enter related expenses into accounting systems
- Ensure employee reimbursements are properly entered, approved, and received on time
- Maintain accurate and confidential financial records
- Perform AP/AR and payroll tasks accurately and on time in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Human Resources Support
- Support HR with onboarding, personnel recordkeeping, and basic HR administrative functions
- Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and day-to-day support
- Serve as a resource to the Operations Manager and Senior Project Managers, assisting with routine employee matters and helping to facilitate smooth daily operations
- Maintain confidential employee files and assist with updates or changes as needed
Office Administration
- Order office supplies and maintain an organized inventory of regularly used items
- Maintain communication
- Provide general administrative support as needed
Requirements
- 18 years or older
- Clean driving record and reliable transportation
- Proven experience with AP, AR, and payroll
- Prior experience in HR or administrative support, preferably in an employee-facing role
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Must be able to work a minimum of 35 hours per week
- Travel weekly to the Watford City office (mileage reimbursed), when needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with accounting or payroll systems such as ADP, VantagePoint, or similar platforms
- Familiarity with North Dakota employment regulations and general HR compliance
- Understanding of Work-in-Progress (WIP) accounting and service-based billing (as opposed to product-based billing)

Salary
