Earth Systems is seeking a leadership-driven and self-motivated Construction Materials Laboratory Supervisor based out of our Hollister office.
The Construction Materials Laboratory Supervisor position requires establishing, managing, maintaining and supervising all equipment, materials and activities related to the laboratory (lab) and laboratory testing; developing / strengthening client and project manager relationships, with a focus on delivering error-free materials testing services; support project managers scope of work development, estimating, and proposal preparation.
Qualifications :
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a construction materials testing laboratory, with a focus on concrete, asphalt, soil, and aggregates.
- Strong knowledge of testing procedures and standards, such as ASTM, AASHTO, and ACI.
- Proficient in operating and maintaining laboratory equipment.
- Technical competence to interpret and effectively communicate test procedures, specifications, and results.
- Strong leadership abilities to train and mentor junior laboratory technicians.
- Must work well and at a productive pace under pressure, meeting multiple and sometimes conflicting deadlines
- Must, at all times, demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisors
- Math, analytical, and writing skills are required and must be willing to "learn by doing."
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Fundamental experience working with MS Office 365, including Excel, Word and SharePoint

The expected pay range for this position is $30-45 / hr. Exact rate is dependent on several factors such as experience, skills, education / certifications, and geographic location.
Employment conditioned upon the satisfactory completion of a background check, review of Motor Vehicle Records, drug screening, and a medical evaluation appropriate to the position.
