What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supervisor and Qualified Irrigation Technicians position at EARTHCARE LANDSCAPING?
We have several open positions in the irrigation department of a landscape company. We are looking for highly qualified and professional irrigation supervisors and technicians with extensive knowledge of the field, the ability to work under pressure, follow schedules and instructions, lead a team, and collaborate with other departments, among other qualities. This role requires a combination of mechanical knowledge and hands-on skills to effectively manage irrigation projects. If you meet the above requirements, we want to hear from you.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of pump operation and maintenance.
- Knowledge of irrigation timers, irrigation head adjustment/repair, sensors, valve repair, and lateral and main line repair.
- Extensive knowledge of irrigation system installation, configuration, and maintenance.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
- Must have reliable transportation to the company.
- Valid and clean Florida driver's license.
- Bilingual skills are a plus but not required.
- Ability to pass a drug test and background check.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- A safe driving record and the ability to successfully pass a Motor Vehicle Report (“MVR”) are required.
- Strong communication skills in English. Spanish is a plus.
Responsibilities
Install, maintain, alter, and repair commercial and residential irrigation systems.
- Troubleshoot irrigation systems to determine needed adjustments and repairs.
- Monthly inspections for proper operation.
- Controller adjustments for efficient watering.
- Adjustments to irrigation schedules.
- Analyze and resolve work problems or assist in solving work problems.
- Perform routine irrigation inspections and generate reports for assigned high-profile properties.
- Perform troubleshooting and repairs.
- Scan properties beyond assigned needs to detect any issues.
- Complete a daily pre-trip inspection report for the vehicle, trailers, and equipment.
- Contribute to our culture of safety by attending and actively participating in weekly safety training. Follow company safety protocols, identify and communicate safety issues to the team.
- Assist in leading and managing irrigation and landscape installation projects.
- Ensure projects are completed on time and to the highest standards.
- Provide support and guidance to team members.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with clients, team members, and management.
