Director of Youth Programming

EVO is a faith-based organization that has a mission to build social, racial and economic bridges to connect

communities, organizations and people for the enhancement and transformation of all. Our vision is to walk

alongside children and families on a long-term basis to help guide them into healthy, functional, mature adults.

Director of Youth Programming Job Description:

• Plan and implement an after school, developmentally appropriate curriculum, including weekly

themes and lesson plans.

• Plan and implement a summer curriculum for a 10-week outreach program.

• Provide a safe, responsive, stimulating environment by actively engaging oneself in daily

activities and routines.

• Form and maintain professional relationships with parents, families, and co-workers.

• Assess all areas of development of children using the Common Core Standards.

• Develop and maintain a portfolio for each child.

• Conduct up to two parent-teacher conferences per year with each family.

• Responsible for supervision and direction of Assistant Teacher(s) and Volunteers.

• Maintain all certifications as required. Ensure compliance with all Pennsylvania Department of

Welfare rules and regulations.

• Approximate hours are weekdays 7:00 am – 10:00 am and 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Two years’ experience working with children Pre K-5th grade in a home or center setting.

• B.A./B.S. in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Social Work or a related field.

Compensation:

The Director of Youth Programming position is a full-time position (with benefits) paying an annual

salary between $42,000 - $50,000, depending on qualifications and previous experience.
