About the position:As a Production Team Lead at Earthley, you will play a key role in supporting the production team to produce high-quality batches of products. You will oversee the daily production process, ensure accurate measurements and batch integrity, provide training and support to team members, and help maintain an organized and efficient production environment. The Team Lead is also responsible for troubleshooting equipment issues, coordinating departmental needs, and ensuring the team meets performance standards in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Essential Functions:

• Create and adjust daily make lists based on production data and needs.

• Use data to decide which batches will be produced each day, adjusting the schedule as necessary due to call-offs, equipment issues, or other factors.

• Forecast production needs for the department, planning for upcoming batch requirements and prioritizing product production based on demand.

• Assign individual team members to specific projects and equipment, ensuring efficient use of resources.

• Verify that batch production is proceeding correctly at multiple stages of the process.

• Ensure ingredient identity, weight, and other key parameters are accurate and in compliance with production standards.

• Communicate with the Quality Assurance (QA) team if any discrepancies or issues arise with batch quality, ensuring corrective actions are taken.

• Follow the training plan to onboard new team members, teaching them how to follow Earthleys processes and procedures effectively.

• Answer questions and provide support to team members, ensuring they have the knowledge and tools to succeed.

• Demonstrate a positive, motivating attitude and lead the team by example.

• Provide both positive reinforcement and constructive feedback to team members regarding their productivity and quality of work.

• Assist with housekeeping and general organization of the department as needed

• Adhere to company values, policies, and procedures, ensuring a positive work environment and compliance with safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to manage, guide, and motivate a team to meet production goals.

• Strong organizational and project management skills, including proficiency in Excel and other production planning tools.

• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to have difficult conversations, offer and receive constructive feedback, and communicate clearly with team members and leadership.
