Director of Manufacturing Operations

Position Overview

The Director of Manufacturing Operations will oversee and direct all aspects of our manufacturing processes, with a specific focus on molding and fabrication. This role requires a dynamic leader with extensive experience in molding, fabrication, and a strong background in operations management. The successful candidate will ensure that our manufacturing processes align with company goals, maintain high-quality standards, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

· Leadership and Management: Provide direction and leadership to the manufacturing team, ensuring that all operations are efficient, effective, and aligned with company objectives.

· Process Optimization: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve quality in molding and fabrication processes.

· Quality Assurance: Oversee quality control measures to ensure products meet or exceed industry standards and customer expectations.

· Operational Excellence: Develop and implement operational strategies that support the company's goals for growth, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

· Resource Management: Manage the allocation and utilization of resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to optimize production and minimize waste.

· Scheduling: Develop and oversee production schedules to ensure timely completion of manufacturing tasks, while maximizing efficiency and minimizing downtime.

· Safety and Compliance: Ensure that all manufacturing activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

· Team Development: Mentor and develop the manufacturing team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.

· Budget Management: Develop and manage the manufacturing budget, ensuring cost-effective operations and adherence to financial targets.

· Technology Integration: Evaluate and integrate new technologies and automation solutions to enhance manufacturing capabilities.

· Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including engineering, supply chain, and sales, to ensure seamless coordination and support for manufacturing activities.

· Strategic Planning: Develop and implement long-term strategies for the manufacturing department, aligning with overall business objectives and market trends. Regularly review and adjust strategies to ensure they remain relevant and effective in achieving the company’s goals.

· Risk Management: Identify potential risks in the manufacturing operations and develop proactive plans to mitigate them. Ensure business continuity through effective contingency planning.

· Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the efficiency and effectiveness of manufacturing processes. Utilize data-driven insights to inform strategic decisions and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.

· Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing operations, with a significant focus on molding and fabrication.

· Proven leadership and management skills, with a track record of successfully leading manufacturing teams.

· Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control, and lean manufacturing principles.

· Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.

· Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

· Proficiency in manufacturing software and technology solutions.
