We specialize in Early Intensive Developmental and Behavioral Intervention (EIDBI), Children's Therapeutic Services and Supports (CTSS), and Adult Rehabilitative Mental Health Services (ARMHS). Our CTSS program offers intensive mental health services to children and youth experiencing emotional and behavioral challenges,
Position Overview
The CTSS Therapist provides therapeutic interventions to children, adolescents, and families experiencing emotional and behavioral challenges. This position involves conducting diagnostic assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and delivering therapy services in home, school, office, and community settings. The ideal candidate is a compassionate, culturally competent clinician committed to helping children build emotional resilience and succeed in their environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individual, family, and group psychotherapy to children and adolescents with Severe Emotional Disturbance (SED).
- Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, including Diagnostic Assessments (DAs) and Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs).
- Develop and implement Individual Treatment Plans (ITPs) based on client needs and strengths.
- Work collaboratively with families, schools, and community providers to support children's mental health and overall well-being.
- Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation in compliance with state and agency guidelines.
- Provide crisis intervention and develop safety plans when needed.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and clinical consultations.
- Engage in culturally responsive practices that respect and honor the backgrounds of the families we serve.
- Adhere to all Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) and Medicaid regulations related to CTSS services.
Qualifications
Experience providing therapy to children and families, preferably within CTSS or a similar mental health program.
Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
Must pass a DHS background study.
