Make a difference in the lives of patients:
As a Dental Assistant, you will work with several dentists and dental hygienists and provide chair-side skills, observe, and apply infection control and laboratory protocols, and assist with basic principles of taking x-rays.
- Sterilize dental instruments in adherence to all licensing and accreditation protocols
- Prepare room and instruments for the anticipated/scheduled dental procedures.
- Prepare radiographs for viewing/diagnosis by Dentist.
- Assist Dentist with instruments and tasks at “chair side”.
- Assure operating methods and materials in the Dental Area are following OSHA’s blood borne pathogens and hazardous material standards.
- Assist hygienists when needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to obtain radiology certification within required time frame
- Strong interest in the dental field,
- Customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with patients of all ages and backgrounds
