What are the responsibilities and job description for the Outreach Peer Recovery Specialist (Per-diem) position at East Bay Community Action Program?
East Bay Community Action Program is hiring for an Outreach Peer Recovery Specialist to work on a per-diem basis to provide outreach recovery coaching for recoverees and family members in community settings. This position will support the Newport Emergency Department and respond to requests for recovery support services.
How you will make an impact:
- Provide peer recovery coach support services to a population that has limited access to recovery support services or the inability to directly access services.
- Selectively utilize self-disclosure, as well as role model positive behaviors to inspire hope, share life experiences, and lessons learned as a person in recovery.
- Provide outreach recovery coaching for recoverees and family members in community settings.
- Adhere to the Center’s published standards for clinical and administrative documentation submission, as well productivity standards.
- Attend trainings as assigned and participate in relevant events as assigned.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
Your skills and experience:
- Minimum 2-3 years' experience working in a recovery/outreach setting.
- RI Certification as a Peer Recovery Coach
- Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record, reliable transportation, and automobile insurance
